牧者心聲 Pastor's Message
02/21/2010
Wow, what a busy year so far! A great New Year’s, then
Super Bowl, then the Olympics, then Valentine’s and Chinese New
Year on the same day! Wow, an action packed year already! This
week begins Lent as well and just around the corner is Easter.
With all these huge celebrations I just want to encourage each of
us with a word from the Bible. In 2 Timothy 2:8‐9, Paul
encourages Timothy to “Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the
dead, descended from David. This is my gospel…” The etymology
of the word Paul uses for “remember” is literally “be mindful of
again”. Paul hits on one of the fundamentals of walking with
Christ: remember, think of Him again and again, be always
mindful of Him. This year will be even busier with many activities
and things to do, but I encourage you, as Paul encourages all of
us, to remember Christ today, remember Him tomorrow. In all
you do, remember Him, remember that He has defeated death
and rose from the dead, remember that He fulfilled the Messiah
prophesies and is our Christ, remember Jesus’ salvation of His
people. This is our Gospel. Remember, and be blessed as we
continue this faith walk with Christ Jesus, carrying His Gospel in
our hearts and letting it shine before the world!
