牧者心聲 Pastor's Message
01/03/2010
With Christmas behind us, the anticipation of Jesus’
birthday on the 25th has come and gone. How was it? Was it as you
expected? Or were you disappointed and expecting more? Perhaps
before and after the service, you were so busy that you didn’t get a
chance to sit down and reflect on Christmas. Maybe the assault of
the season was too overwhelming. Are your eyes still blinded from
all the pictures taken with family and friends? Maybe you’re still
under a food coma from all the feasting? Or you’re in a depression
because none of the presents you received were exactly what you wanted?
What about New Year’s? It is also behind us. But even so, I
want you to consider what you had done, in celebration of the new
year. How did you wait in anticipation? Think about it for a brief
moment. Then consider this:
Jeremiah 29.12-13. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and
pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find
me when you seek me with all your heart.
In these times of anticipation, there are many things we can
look for and many things to distract us. As Christians we can’t
forget this: When you look for God with all your heart, you will
find Him! When you call upon His name and pray to Him, God
will listen to you!
So, take the time now or at home to reflect and pray to God
to reveal Himself to you, if you haven’t yet this holiday season.
You may be astonished at what you’ll discover!
