牧者心聲 Pastor's Message
11/15/2009
That time of the year is here, a time for celebrating, giving
thanks to God for how good He has been to us. Thanksgiving is
just around the corner, and Christmas soon will follow. I know
many of us are ready to celebrate, with our Christmas trees already
up, and the lights hanging from the ceilings (or perhaps they were
left there from last year!). Lisa and myself already have begun our
holiday season by watching the classic Christmas carol with old
Ebenezer himself. I’m already looking forward to the many
awesome songs that we for some reason only sing once a year. This
year, as we celebrate, let’s remember to give thanks to God for all
that He has done. It is never too late to prepare your hearts to
celebrate and give thanks to God. Let Thanksgiving be about God
and His mercies. Allow Christmas to be about Jesus and the gift to
the world He is. Prepare your hearts already for this special time
of the year. Perhaps David put it best when He wrote in Psalm 118,
“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures
forever.” Be blessed this year as we celebrate all that God has done
for us!
