牧者心聲 Pastor's Message

Saying goodbye is always a difficult thing to do. There are
many different ways in which people say goodbye. Some people
give a hug. Some people write a card. Some people cry. Some
people smile. Even some people avoid saying goodbyes because it
is a difficult thing for them to do. Regardless of who you are, you
have most likely had to say goodbye at one time or another. The
Bible has many examples of goodbyes itself, including many
examples in the letters of Paul. One such example is found in 1
Corinthians 16:23-24. Paul writes, “The grace of our Lord Jesus be
with you. My love to all of you in Christ Jesus. Amen.”
Paul gives a good example of how to say goodbye. He first
blesses his brothers and sisters through the grace of Jesus. Then
he shares his love to his brothers and sisters that is only possible
through being in Christ Jesus together. Paul’s goodbyes were not
only for his brothers and sisters, but they were for the comfort of
Paul himself, knowing that in Christ Jesus those that he loved
would be blessed and loved. This is a good Biblical example of a
goodbye: leaving your friends and families in the blessings and
hands of Jesus Christ! Be blessed this week as we continue to grow
in the grace and love of Jesus our Lord!
