牧者心聲 Pastor's Message

Have you ever received a gift, still wrapped, and then given it right back to the person who gave it to you; unopened? What if one day you received the most expensive gift that anyone has ever received, and it was given at great cost, and with much love; but you turned around and gave it right back to the giver? Would it make sense? The Bible says this about the gift that God gives us: “But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God…” (Ephesians 2:4-8) This Resurrection Sunday, we are celebrating the “Gift” that God has given us. This “Gift” is Jesus and eternal life through His love and grace and kindness. If you haven’t opened your “Gift” yet, Jesus is waiting for you. It is truly the “Gift” that you will enjoy for the rest of eternity. Receive Jesus’ salvation and “Gift” today, HE is waiting for you!
This week, as we prepare to celebrate Good Friday and Resurrection Day, remember Jesus is thinking of you. Remember Jesus is taking care of the world, but not too busy for you. Remember Jesus died for you, and defeated death for you, because He loves you. Jesus’ last words to His disciples can be found in Matthew 28:20. Jesus said this: “…And remember, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Be blessed this week as we join together to celebrate Jesus, our Lord and Savior!
Be blessed,
Brother John
